HTC has released a new teaser video about their upcoming flagship smart phone which they have termed as the “New HTC one”. As the Mobile world Congress has gone past during which HTC basically just ended up building hype around the new flagship while its major competitors released their next iterations of their respective smart phones, the onus would now be on HTC to offer a respectable offering which would be able to hold its own in the fiercely competitive android market.
HTC will be holding their special event in New York City on March 25 to reveal the new HTC One. And if the new teaser video is anything to go by, then it looks like they will once again be touting the capabilities of the Boomsound speakers. The original HTC one was one of the best android smart phones of 2013 and by the looks of it, HTC seems to be sticking to the mantra of “if it ain’t broken don’t fix it”, as they seem to be building upon their strengths from last year without changing too much.
That can also be corroborated by the many leaked images and specifications of the new HTC one which is as yet codenamed the “M8”. Even though the hardware is actually pixelated in the new teaser video, based on the rumours and leaks it could be safe to assume that aside from the expected bump in specifications such as an improved processor, bigger RAM and better screen density, the rest of it would probably be based on the last year’s design of the HTC one.
As there is only a month left to the HTC event, all will be revealed in due course.
