While Apple fans are still relishing over their spanking new iPhone 4S that recently went on sale less than a week ago, and another big chuck of slowpokes who are waiting for their turn to get their hands on the fastest selling gadget in the world, rumors have already started to pour out that the initially expected iPhone 5 might just be released sooner than the traditional release cycle of Apple.
A lot of people are of the opinion that the iPhone 4S was a let down, as it doesn’t offer a lot over the previous model except for a faster processor and better camera. the only thing stands out is probably the Siri voice Assistant feature. The story goes that Apple had initially planned to release the iPhone 5 in-place of the iPhone 4s for the holiday season but was met with some manufacturing hiccups, slowing their production down and made it difficult to ramp up production for the holiday season deadline.
The iPhone 5 is the last project that Steve Jobs worked on. It is said that the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 were divided among two separate production teams with the latter being run by the late Steve Jobs. With reported production delays in the assembly line of the iPhone 5, Apple was forced to delay their intended launch of the iPhone 5 and go ahead with the launch of the iPhone 4S.
It seems that they really rushed it out because Siri is still in beta on the iPhone 4S.So to keep in mind the rumors gathered during the last few months regarding the iPhone 5, it is still believed that it could be thinner than the iPhone 4S with curved glass surface with and a teardrop design, although the possibility of a faster processor is slim, as the A5 has already been implemented in the iPhone 4S.
